What are your areas of activity?
 
In its first years, Beta Gıda was active in the trade of non-food products, but then shifted its interest towards food sector in order to accelerate its branding process. Beta Gıda, the first company to bring imported tea to Turkey, has provided the Turkish consumer with different tastes.
 
The 4 main brands under which Beta A.Ş. is active worldwide for tea are Beta Tea, Bayce, Champion and Howhad Brand. With the strength it has gained throughout the years and with utmost care in maintaining the confidence in its brands, Beta Gıda has incorporated various product groups. The company continues to maintain its success and quality in different areas of food with new brands such as Benuta, Beta Caffito, Wavey, Beta Belita, Bon Vivant and Funcy.
 
Beta Gıda, which has supplied the food packaging facility in Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone with the latest technology, continues to provide services to its customers in Turkey and abroad. Beta A.Ş. recently purchased a tea factory in Sürmene, Trabzon and started to produce Turkish tea in international standards. Today, Beta A.Ş. is a global brand that strives to provide its consumers with the best quality products at the most convenient prices.
 

What are your thoughts concerning WorldFood Istanbul?
 
Our goal is to promote Beta by introducing its wide product range to professional consumers.
 
We are planning to lay the groundwork for business partnerships that will support our strong sales network in Turkey and abroad. We will be exhibiting our newest products. We are planning to exchange ideas on the dynamics of the Turkish food market with sector players like ourselves and shape our plans for the future.


What are your assessments, comments and predictions regarding food sector, primarily for Turkey and also throughout the world?
 
Dynamics of the Turkish tea market are very rapid. We have the highest tea consumption rates in the world. Therefore, we have a traditional habit of black tea. Especially the youth are very interested in teas from different countries and cultures. After a while, they get familiar with them as well. The companies are also working in this direction. The interest and curiosity for teas of the world increase every day. As an international tea trade company, we are doing our best to promote Turkish tea in our foreign markets by using all of our knowledge to brand Turkish tea, which is the most consumed tea in the world, but is yet to become a brand in the world market. We fulfill the Turkish consumer’s demand and curiosity for different tastes with different teas that already exist within our product range containing teas from all around the world. We provide our consumers new and different products every day.
